"We've seen time and time again, a growing demand for the services that Woman Led provides to the community, and making this strategic hire will not only help us expand the reach, but do it more effectively,” said Amanda Wilson, founding Woman Led Board Member. “We are thrilled about adding Amy to our team and bringing her level of expertise into the fold."

Jermain, a strategic planning consultant and former chef, holds a Masters degree in International Development Economics from the University of Kent at Brussels. Her experience has taken her all over the world to explore micro-entrepreneurship and capacity building within informal and emerging economies. Her commitment to improving the resiliency and self-sufficiency of minority groups is reflected in her work at the United Nations World Programme, International Planned Parenthood Federation and Friends International.

“I am over the moon at the opportunity to partner with the fierce women of Woman Led and build upon the path for which they all have so passionately forged,” says Jermain. “The organization is perfectly poised to expand and develop its role in Portland’s female founder space – to create impactful and meaningful economic empowerment for our women.”

Jermain joins the organization fresh from Cambodia, where she managed vocational training programs for marginalized youth throughout Southeast Asia.
